Hair grease--I'm stuck on Hairveda's Almond Glaze right now but I'm in the process of expanding my horizons to others.

My hair dryer with comb attachment--I rarely blow dry my hair but when I do that's what I will be using. I need to do some research because I need a new one.

MY COMB: I don't know how some of you ladies do that finger combing bit, but without combs (both wide toothed and narrow toothed) I'd be damn near bald.

I will never give up hair grease. That is the only thing that works when my hair gets so dry durning the summer!!!!

Ya'll can call me what u want, nasty ,dirty ,I dont care but I refuse to wash my braid extensions. I tried it the LHCF way and washed my braids all willy nilly the last time I had them and they were a frizzy mess in less than 2 weeks. Water is not going to touch the next set I get. I'll continue to clean my scalp with sea Breeze just as ive always done.

thank you! I know it's dirty and stank by LHCF standards but I don't care. My extenstions look horrible after washing no matter how gentle I am. My hair starts to poke out through the braid and then they just a mess
I'm sticking with seabreeze too

I am not going all natural. As natural as possible, but I am not afraid of chemicals.

I am not doing a lot of updos. My hair may be short now but I see all these buns and twists and stuff on longer-haired women. Not for me. A puff, a ponytail, maybe braided and pinned off my back. I want my hair out! I want everyone to revel in its glorious beauty!

My growth aids and prenatal vitamin. For one, the latter works for my hair, nails, and skin no matter how healthy the rest of my diet. For two, as I do not have the time or money to eat the best, I know I am lacking in essential hair-supporting nutrients. Call it a placebo effect if you want, but I am never giving these up.

Nothing too fancy. My wash routine has 5 or 6 steps, and my daily wear for now has two, meaning I currently consistently use 6 or 7 products on my hair, 1 more if you count the silk scarf for sleeping. Anything else and this is plainly too much. Too many products, too much time, and too much manipulation.

If you would have asked me a month ago, I would have said petroleum based hair oils for my twists. However I've given them up.

On the trimming, I trim every 8 weeks...hey, maybe I'm doing it too much?

:ninja:Trimming:blush:..... I cant help it I long for those thick, healthy "LHCF ends":drunk:

No Trimming... I am not gonna be trimming my hair every 2-mths and lose my progress, twice a year is the best I can do, if that :)

Heat
Trimming...I'll do it twice a year and that's about it

What are you NEVA EVA giving up despite what your fellow sisters might say behind your back?:lachen::lachen::lachen:

I am never giving up my Fantasia Sparkelite gel-it does my edges right. It hasn't failed me yet.

I love cones and as a result of that I need an SLS shampoo- and My favorite is ORS Olive OIl(which I will never give up)

What say you?

Okay this right here SS, I just discovered. I finally found it here in the Bahamas and I went crazy buying all the varieties in I could find. It not only keeps my edges nice, but I put it through my texlaxed hair and it worked pretty well. Made my curls pop.

Oh I just thought about something else, I love, love, love my Mizani products especially the Butter Blend relaxer:yep:.

baggying my hair! The results are speaking for themselves! SO has gotten over it, so can the rest of the world!

Relaxer! I posted on here a while ago that I wanted to transition but DEAR LORD I COULD'NT HANDLE THE BREAKAGE :nono:

Cones are a MUST- I've been wondering of recent why my hair has been soooooooooo sleek and easy to manage I can even detangle with a denman under thanks to my Pantene (overloaded with cones)-Love the stuff!

SLS shampoo x3 a week- Before in my pre-LHCF days I washed once a week now I can barely go 2 days I just feel the itch to wash

Colour- I dyed my hair all the time in my pre-LHCF days since I was 13 and now I know pretty much how to care for my hair I WANT COLOUR! :spinning:

Regular trims- the back of my hair is much longer than the top so it's in lots of layers. I am about BSL-MBLish at the longest layer so I am going to keep it this length by trimming every relaxer and allow the layers to fill in.

Flat iron on damp hair...(only if I'm in a rush though)

Oh and Relaxers...my hair is super thick with a relaxer...so with out :nono:

What will I never give up?
Two words: LYE. RELAXER.

As for the SLS debate, I don't use much shampoo, don't really like it, so I'm indifferent.
I do find mineral oil unpleasant on my hair, but hey that's just me. Then again, I hate castor oil just as much...

Exactly. I ain't givin' up the relaxer any time soon. :look:

Nor will I give up my BLONDE highlights, no matter how many threads about black women and blonde hair are created. Hmph!

:grin::grin::grin::grin:

Your blonde highlights are very pretty, don't listen to nobody.

What she said! Except I mix it with Glover's :yep:. I know it's staaaank, but I tried to stray by jumping on the PJ bandwagon, and it was the worse mistake of my hair's life!

Grandmaw knew what she was doin' when she introduced my head to this stuff back in da day! :lachen:

How much Glover's and Sulfur 8 do you use and how often do you use it?

As for me:
1)Heat: As I get closer to my touchups I need the heat. Thank goodness my DH put up with my dull airdryed hair phase.
2)Cones
3)7-8 week touchups: I tried streching every way possible..its a no go for me.

I still like Oil sheen too.
