Saran Wrapping--Flat Iron Users

Sorry to bump such an old post intentionally lol. But I want to know if those that have used the saran wrap treatment have been able to skip blowing out or flat ironing the roots. Does the saran wrap after the roller set help with smoothing the roots? I'm going to roller set my hair this month and I want it straight and bouncy, but I don't want to add anymore heat besides the hooded dryer.

I haven't done this in a while, but when I used to go to the salon my stylist used to rollerset me, skip the flat iron, and just wrap my hair with a plastic cap. Without the flat iron it's called a body wrap, but produces the same results, just a bit fuller. I'm 14 weeks post but I might try this on my own.
