My hair dresser does formaldehyde free BKTs for $250 and that does not include her tip. I want it done soooo badly that I am willing to spend that amount. Do you think it's worth it being done at the salon? or just save some of that money and do it myself.
First, try a test patch. Not a few strands, a fairly large clump. After a week or so, see if you like it and if it looks OK. Then, do your whole head. Then...
take the extra $200 and put it in your savings account. You'll look fantab and be proud of yourself for being so frugal!
Girl you better do that yourself. I have done it 5 times on my own head. There is a thread that will help through the process. Plus all of the BKT gurus are there. You can ask questions. I love BKT. That is too much money to be giving away. Also do a search on BKT within this forum. You will find lots of pics too. HTH
My first and second BKT were done at the salon, but not for $200! I paid $75 the first time for the Lasio One Day BKT and $99 the second time for Rejuvenol BKT.
softliss is formaldehyde free. Dreamhair is another brand that's also a big hit!
I think you're safe going with either option. I've tried softliss but I'm going to use Dreamhair my next go around.
I would also suggest doing your hair in section for the first time. It's a length (but easy) process so give yourself time to do it right and be gentle to those strands. I'm BKT for life. Sorry pics in my siggy are pre-BKT - can't update until after my current challenge. PM me if you're interested in seeing Softliss results
