Finally, the hair care info y'all have been giving is starting to take hold!
I figured out the culprit of my broken hair woes: lack of moisture and a very hot, one-temperature FHI iron (I got it cuz it was pink!
)!
When now I flat iron my hair (once once per wash--I used to flat iron every single day, whether my hair was clean or not
). I notice that it's smoking during the first pass! I smell a smoky smell, not much unlike when I used to get my natural hair pressed.
I know that's not good! Sooo....
Can y'all give me some suggestions for a really good, safe iron to buy?
I have fine-textured, jaw-length hair.
