Anyone tried this product yet? I know lala has mentioned it and I hear its great for humidity protection on your hair.

I just purchased it about 2 weeks ago. I love it! I'm in braids right now, but I've been using it on my daughters' hair and their hair stays straight longer than with a regular flat iron. I also tried it on my hair. I took one braid out and flat ironed it with the product in one part and one without. I took pics and they are in my album, you'll have to excuse the pics because my good camera is broken. But it does work really well. My oldest daughter is 5 and she can't stay in a wrap at night to save her life, but despite the bathes and rough sleeping, her hair is still pretty straight. I would definately recommend it!

Im transitioning and would like it for my edges so they dont look wild. Where can this be purchased?

I purchased mine online.. its fairly new so I was unable to find it in Ulta etc.

wow it does look very tempting! I wonder if this can keep my edges in check with working out....

coming back to the hair board is turning me into a PJ again!

I think Lala uses it. She made a thread about it and now, I'm soooo wanting to get it!

You're welcome!!!!! It is excellent for repelling moisture. On those rainy days in Ohio, I used to apply it a little heavier & my hair would not puff or lose its style. I use it daily for styling b/c it add shine and helps with tangling. It works well on wet hair too...

Love Sabino, tested it in Houston during a rainy stay there. My style held!! I also purchased this online, but stumbled on a small box of it at Ulta-literally! they had the display in the name brand/salon section of hair care products on the bottm shelf in this tiny box. I would have totally missed it, but for the box sticking out and I hit my shoe on it while walking by! When I asked the sales girl, she didn't even know they had it and commented that it was in the store as a trial run. She knew absolutely nothing about it.

So, if you want to try it (a bit pricey at $18 for a small bottle) it works great and you will only need a small amount. I mix it with Frederick Fakki's Silk (the Sally's version) to stretch it. They seem to be the same, but the Sabino is 10x as thick.

Im gonna check ulta out and see if they have it. They always have coupons for 20% off or 3.50 off a $10 or more purchase. Plus I wouldnt have to pay shipping. What is that stuff u are talking about from sallys?

I would like to know more about the Sally's Product also.

Ok, I was referring to Farouk Systems Biosilk Silk Therapy (its from the maker of CHI) only Sally's has a generic version called Silk Treatment 6oz for $5.99. The original is like $19.00. Its much like Frizz Ease product, only I think it works better. Farouk says you can apply his product to your hair and skin as a moisturizer.

Also, both of these are cones pure and simple. The ingredients listed on te Silk are: Cyclomethicone, dimethicone, SD alcohol 40-B, Pathenol, Ethyl Ester of hydrolyzed silk, octyl methoxycinnamate, fragrance, C12-15 alkyl benzoate, phenoxy-ethanol, methylparaben, propylparaben.

Sabino only lists their active ingredients: Dimethicone and Cyclomethicone.
I do believe though that the cyclomethicone is one of the heavy duty circular ones, which may explain why its sooooo thick. Its the consistency of honey, but not as sticky and messy.

I ordered the Sabino Mositure Manager and agree that this product is a keeper. I airdryed my hair and applied the product on the ends and lo and behold they did not frizz or puff up. I was skeptical at first...but now I am a believer.

*bump* Does this work to prevent edges from frizzing? I wore my hair "slicked" back today and the humiditly made the edges frizz and even the top layer of my hair. I saw the old product with the new name on a website but I'm not so sure it would work for my hair.
