In the winter months my 10yr old likes to wear hear hair straight sometimes. When we flat iron it with a chi it stays a good day and then it either starts poofin up or the ends start curling up. I noticed that sum of the naturals on here do a roller set but I am not sure of how to do that cause the pics look like the hair is straight and then the set it? Also do you have any suggestions on a good product to keep the curls when wearing it curly from drawing up of frizzing. I have tried so many products and they seem to work well and then it is like the hair gets use to it and then they just don't work the same. Thanks!!;)

I rollerset my hair right after washing, I need to flat iron the roots when I take the rollers out to get them straight. Sounds like you need to try an anti-humectant to keep the moisture from her hair when it is pressed. I used to be able to wear my hair up to a week without reversion but now nothing seems to keep my hair from reverting when I wear it straight.

As far as keeping the hair curly for my wash n go's I normally leave a small amount of my conditioner in, then use a creamy leave in and it keeps my curls in place.

Have you tried braidouts or twistouts on her hair? That would be a way to wear her hair down without using heat on it.

My must have's for curly styles are Elucence Moisture Balance conditioner as a leave-in and Fructis Soft Curl Cream layered over that and brushed through w/ a Denman brush. Makes perfect curls. Sunsilk De-Frizz is really good also. I think I have reviews and pics of all that stuff in my fotki album.
