Sylver -- I use a dollop on my hair on each 4 large sections

How much do you use? I know I was using mine the whole time I was stretching til 6 months post relaxer. It helps tame my ends which are frizzy.
I use a lot. Section each piece (7 pieces all around)and use a little over a quarter size for each. Comb thru.

I use about a palmful after I towel-blotted my hair. For some reason, my hair goes limp when I load up on creamy leave-ins.

The sectioning thing sounds like a good idea. To experiment, when I get later in my relax cycle I will try sectioning my hair and using about the same amount that you did and I'll see what that does.

i have it right now because sylver said that she uses it and I feel we have similar hair. Unfortunately, I dont think that its giving me good results. I use it after I deep condition my hair. I'm a relaxed 4 type and just got it after my last relaxer (may 11) and its not giving me the results I want. I too have frizzy ends and for this reason I use it but maybe I dont know how?

I: deep condition then apply the rusk. all over. I never comb thru and I never section it (my hair is not that long.. like two inces past shoulder length) then I put john freida serum and blow dry (when i want it straight) My hair comes out really dry. So i need something thats VERY moisturizing. I actually need to make a thread about that. My hair has been ridiculously dry lately... Maybe it was my last relaxer? (Vitale)

ps Ive never used it with new growth so I'm gonna hold on to it to see if it works on that.

Thanks for all the tips ladies. Those of you that like it, how much of it do you use? Also, where can you get it in NYC? TIA.

I have seen it at Ricky's ,the large 32 oz. bottle on sale sometimes .....

Just wanted to say I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and my hair  it! I was a little afraid to try it because of the cone, but so far no problems :)

I love my Rusk Smoother. Too me it's almost like a leave-in and serum in one, since it's high cone. I use it after every wash. Plus it smells so yummy too. :lick:

I bought this a few months ago and when I initially used it, my hair was left hard BUT I am going to give it another try and maybe use it with something else because I like it and it does smells good and shoot I bought the big bottle..imma make it work with some type of serum or sumthin:)

Ladies I have yet to find this in Baltimore. Trade Secrets has it? I have to find where one is in the area. Any suggestions?

Trade Secret in WHITE MARSH MALL carries it "sometimes". Sells out as fast as they get it in. Trade Secret in TOWSON MALL carries it and the lady said that it has a "big following"---not a best seller but when they have it---it sells out because the people that use it are faithful. It TOWSON TOWN CENTER MALL there is a beauty supply / beauty salon place that sells all professional upscale products and she had the regular size RUSK Smoother and I wanted the liter---she got me the Liter size the next day from one of her other affiliate stores the name of that place in TOWSON MALL is Blooming Beauty.

Also the brand new ULTA in Hunt Valley's new shopping mall should have it. I know most ULTAS carry tons of RUSK products. I have not been to this ULTA yet---I normally go to the one in Wilmington Delaware.

Some BJ'S carry it as well. The BJ'S in Abingdon, MD ---near BEL AIR had it a few months back.

Hope this helps
Because I have trouble finding the liter sizes and it is a true "HARD TO FIND" item in my area I just order from USABEAUTYSUPPLIES online. I always keep a liter of this always ! This is my STAPLE SPRING / SUMMER leave in conditioner. Hope this information helps :)

God Bless You tara! :rosebud: I don't think that I have ever been in a trade secret. I was just at the Towson mall at Bath and Body Works. Shoot! I know exactly where the BJ's is it's not too far from my mom's house. I don't have a BJ's membership though. Off to check USABeauty supplies!!!!!:D

ETA: I just placed my order! I am such a PJ! LOL!

Hey, i just bought this yesterday and I just wanted to know if you guys still have positive feedback about this leave in. I'm going to wash and rollerset my hair tonight using this leave in but i wanted to know first what you guys still think of this. Also, how much are you paying for this and what size is the bottle? I bought a 32 oz bottle the other day from TJ Maxx for $10. They also had a bunch of other professional items over there.

Shoot, you got a great deal! I paid almost 30.00 for my bottle. (plus shipping) It did nothing for my hair though. I still have that big bottle under my sink collecting dust!

I used to love me some Rusk Sensories Smoother.

I will definitely have to repurchase that one day soon.

I just purchased this today. Im gonna see if it does anything for my 4b hair. I already put a little on my hair to smooth it down some (of course I did this at my desk at work) and it feels great!! I hope this is a keeper.

Two questions re: the Rusk Sensories Smoother Leave In Texturizing Conditioner:

1. Is it moisturizing?
2. Does it detangle well?
