Has anyone used this? It says it CALMS DEFIANT, UNRULY HAIR and that it eliminates static, provides shine, body and sunscreen protection as it adds and gives hair a smooth, healthy look.

is this a bunch of mularky? i want something for my ends to prevent frizzing.

I LOVE this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I use this FAITHFULLY. This is my official leave in. It does exactly what it says.

I use it too. I had slowed down a bit but basically, mixing it with a bit of oil worked well for me to keep the frizzies down.

I have been hesitant about the Rusk products,I don't want my buy things that don't work...but I see them all the time. I have so many products already that I don't use and they are just sitting. But does anyone recommend this for curlyheads?

I LOVE THIS LEAVE-IN!!!!!
it makes my hair soooo soft and extremely easy to comb through without breaking. it also gives my new growth soft defined wavys. :D

ITA!!!
I use Rusk leave in right after I use my NTM conditioner.
Its called Rusk smoother Passionflower & Aloe Leave in texturizing conditioner

If your looking for something a little lighter.
I heard the rusk sensories brilliance grapefruit & honey leave in is just as good.

I've used the smoother and it was very nice ..it smelt fantastic
Right now I have the brilliance one and its ok but a bit drying ..I wont buy it again

I use rusk shampoo/condish and hot oil ..I like them

My hair is really picky about leave- ins, many recommended on the board just didn't work:cool: , but I really like this one, smells good and works great on wet and dry hair. Along with Elasta QP Recovery and Mango Butter, this is my favorite. I would use it alone, but I'm paranoid about build- up :ohwell: and there are two cones high up on the list. But if that doesn't hold you back, go for it.

I just started using this 2 weeks ago and my hair feels like butta!!! I'm definitely keeping this in the rotation.

It sucked. I have a nearly full bottle I will part with.

Hmmm, I may have to give this a try. It would be nice if I could find a good leave in rather than using up all my Elucence! How much is the Rusk?

i have this among others. err....i need to use it more often. i switch products a lot. i also love their detangler. i got mien from trade secrets for 9.95

I have use this too! It's a great Product!!!!

So glad to see so many yeses to Rusk Smoother! I love this product, especially the built- in-sunscreen (now that I know we should protect the hair from the sun....elements, that wasn't something I ever thought about)

Eygptian...actually the first time I used it at home, I didn't see anything special about it (much like when I used Lacio for the first time) I stopped using it the next wash, and it was hard to get thru, took me longer to set my hair

...I decided to use it again and I realized it helps thru the combing process and afterwards my hair seemed to hold up against the humidity.

Before you toss it ( you could toss it over here BTW  )
maybe try to use it once more ( maybe twice) and see if maybe you used to little ( in my case) or too much....also

This product can be diluted and the effectiveness doesn't change...Love IT Love it

Egypt...let me know how it works for you

Thanks for all the tips ladies. Those of you that like it, how much of it do you use? Also, where can you get it in NYC? TIA.

Check Duane Reade, Walgreens, I've seen around town various BSS that had it on the shelves.

I saw this topic yesterday and was going to give it thumbs-down. I'd tried it twice and both times my hair became tangled, matted and dried out. But I decided to use it today after a CO, just to see if the third time was the charm. :)

It worked nicely this time. My hair airdried soft and smooth and there's moisture. The only thing I can think of that was different was that I'm 2 weeks post relaxer and I was 8 or 9 weeks post the other times I used it, so I may not be able to use this late in my relaxer cycle. It's a nice leave-in, though, I just wish it worked for me ALL the time.

How much do you use? I know I was using mine the whole time I was stretching til 6 months post relaxer. It helps tame my ends which are frizzy.
I use a lot. Section each piece (7 pieces all around)and use a little over a quarter size for each. Comb thru.
