Root Control--Has Anyone Tried This?

Hello All-
I just visited essence.com and noticed Joy Bryant talking about a straightener called Root Control. Just wondering if anyone has tried it and can offer a review...Here's a link:

I think they showed this on Tyra. I've never used it but it looked like it worked well during the demonstration. I think they said you can't burn yourself with it, not sure though cause it was a while ago.
