In the past I have successfully used magnetic rollers as well as Curlformers. Here's a link to a really good rollersetting tutorial for naturals using the mesh rollers. I know someone that used this method & their hair came out gorgeous. HTH...

Magnetic rollers 90% of the time. I also use perm rods when I want a set that lasts me for days.

mesh....never tried anything else. they are easy to use and my hair dries pretty fast under the dryer. The only con is properly securing them with the pins when i first started to use them.

Giant velcro occasionnaly (on dry hair before a party)
