No they don't break my hair off and I sleep in mine. I use the hard rollers with the covers

I have the same problem with the breakage. And I can't sleep in the hard doobie rollers. Anyone have any suggestions for roller I can sleep in without the pain??? And a tight curl...

The satin rollers are good too - but I could not keep them in my head overnight. I would wake up the next morning and have one roller left.

Now I pin-curl.
