I'll start... I use the magnetic rollers with the caps and stick/store the caps in the rollers so that they will always be tight.

It helps to straighten new growth between relaxers.

Wow...really?? While the rollers are in your hair you put the caps in them?? I will have to try that..my NG always comes out too curly!!!

I twirl my hair and put the rollers in. It helps make a cleaner, tighter curl.

What the OP and I are referring to (about these rollers) is that when we STORE the rollers, we take the outside snap on piece, and place it on the inside of the roller (again, when we STORE it). This keeps the snap on piece tight (because they can spread out / loosen a bit when using them over and over. I hope this is clear. Is it now?

Got Cha. I've never used these cause I've never found the 2" or 3" rollers with the caps so I just use clips to secure them. I also don't rollerset in the "Mohawk" I just part from side to side and front to back and rollerset each section. This allows me to loose a lot less hair for some reason

1) Use double pronged Slide in clips (prevents clips from coming loose or slipping off rollers)

2) Use "anchor" method (creates tension by attaching roller to roller)

3) I personally prefer rolling down, but some members say that rolling up helps to keep the roots straight (rolling up didn't work well for me)

4) Don't use too much product (so that your hair isn't weighed down)

1.) ITA with the OP's tip (storing the caps within rollers). My friend taught me this and it has been a life saver
2.) For extra shiny results use Chi Silk Infusion serum and/or Lacio Lacio
3.) To help minimize the dent that rollers with caps cause, after clipping the roller, roll the clip flush with the direction of your hair and secure the roller with a long bobby pins (as you would if you were using the duckbill clips). This provides extra tension as well to smooth out your roots

The results of my rollerset are in my siggy (I'm type 3 with some type 4 Natural)
