Roller coaster on a down slope again

:perplexed Once again I am on a down slope.

Still looking for work. Shut off notices. People telling me to be dishonest on my resume. :ohwell::ohwell:

I can understand dumbing it down. But that is kind of difficult for me. It's already bad of explaning being out of work for two years. Now you want me say that I only have a high school degree. How am I going to explain the rest of the years from the time I graduated.

People "assuming things about me" like I think I am too good to work in a grocery store as a cashier. Assuming that I want a lot of money. Assuming that I am not really trying.

I am stuck in the middle. For some underqualified, over qulaified, then there s the 2 year gap.

What am I to do?

B ack down to almost zero in the account. Shut off notices. I cried a long time Thursday night.

Am I going to be one of those persons that will get everything shut off and have to move. It seems like the deaf ear is on me.

Please pray that I will be able to handle everything.

I am stressing and it is effecting my health.

I'm sorry for your struggles. I don't know your background, but have you tried a temp agency at all? Usually if you can get in good with them they will keep you working.

About the resume, I experienced some of that recently. I was not looking for work for as long, but I definitely found my education to be a hindrance. To be honest, I did take my grad school education off of my resume and it made a difference. I'm not trying to encourage you to be dishonest, but unless they specifically ask you, I wasn't under the impression that you have to include everything on your resume. In my case, I had worked during school so there weren't time gaps. That may not help you, but on a resume (unless they specifically ask) you definitely don't have to tell everything, especially when it's not relevant to the position.

I will pray for provision for you.

I'm praying now.Lord I'm expecting something mighty large to happen through Zeal because you are building her and breaking off anything that isn't like you.I pray for her mental and physical health as the devil would love for it to be her demise.Lord please show Zeal that clinging onto you is the only way to go through the valley.Lord continue to show her even though she is going through the fire she will not look like it.

Amen

Zeal I will be keeping you in my prayers and thoughts.I was out of work for 2 years too.I had to take the 1st job that came but I know something better will arise.

Ladies! I just need to stay encouraged. Keep me prayed up that I will just be ENCOURAGED and not focus on my circumstances. God is working in the background as usual. I asked God for a financial blessing. Wed at Bible study a woman gave me 20.00 A few minutes after starting this thread. (no doubt while you all were praying) I was speaking with a friend and she paid half of my cable bill (triple play). So unexpected. I have not talked to er in a while. I asked God for a financial blessing last week and he moved. I can't wait to see what he is going to do next. I have an interview on Tuesday.

Please pray that I will keep my eyes on God and not my circumstances.

I love you all. Thank you so much for always supporting me.

Thank you so much. I understand what you are saying. :yep::yep:... and i will dumb it down some more. However, I am not just going to straight up lie as advised. i.e. Saying that I worked at a dept store for all of the years in the gap.

Just as you said, God is working behind the scenes. When we think God isn't doing anything, that is when He is working the hardest. You've already received some financial blessings and more will come. God wants you to continue to do what you can and leave the rest to Him. Trust God with all your heart. He will not let you down.

You might want to try a skills set resume. It will highlight your skills and make the time gap in employment less noticeable. Overall, I wouldn't worry about the time gap too much. Employers know that times have been difficult for even the most educated people. To an employer you may not have had steady work in a couple years, but what did you do with your time? Did you work temp jobs? Did you take some classes here and there?

I pray for even more blessings to abound towards you; an overflow of financial blessings, favour with all men; a job that blesses you and allows you to flow in your gift of Ministry; and the peace of God to overflow in your heart.

In Jesus' Name... Amen and Amen. :love3:

I am about to go to bed as I have 7:30 service tomorrow.

That's just the problem. I was not able to to take classes as I can not afford them. I had no temp jobs. Just basically searching all day. Making my soaps to sell. Helping my Mom when needed. :nono::nono:

Thanks for asking.

Where did the time go?

I

Only el-Elyon knows what's around the bend on your road, because He is always ahead of you, making the way...keep trusting Him, Zeal

Don't sell yourself short. You say you've been making soaps to sell. That is something. You have started a business to sustain you until something else comes along. It doesn't matter if making soaps isn't related to what you used to do. You did something with your time.

To God be the glory!
I shall continue praying for you and for all who are enduring financial hardships.

Another financial blessing. I recieved my rent money today!

:yep::yay::yay::yay:

I know my neighbors think I'm crazy, but I screamed when I read your post. I'm so happy for you! I went through a similar situation last year and I got to tell you despite how it looks now, it WILL get better!

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I teared up at your rejoicing with me. Thanks for rejoicing with me and thanks for "the word"!

Zeal, I am praying for you and standing agreement with you and the others. I know first hand that God is our resource and He will provide for His daughters. Keep thanking Him for what He is done and keep praising and testifying. Magnify how big our God is and how small the problems are in comparison to Him.
