Rogaine as spot treatment?

Has anyone ever used Rogaine as a spot treatment? I'm worried about a spot in my crown area that's thinning.

I've tried Surge and Nioxin Follicle Booster to no avail.

I was thinking about using it for a small thin area. I read it & it says to check with your doctor before using & that's what i plan to do. I know there are a few ladies who've mentioned they've used it. You should do a search for the topic.
