Rinse dilemma

My mom bought the wrong rinse color by accident, apparently she was not wearing her glasses. Anywho, her hair is now a burgundy purple looking color from the roots to about 2 or 3 inches and the rest is black. Is there something that she can use to get that out of her hair besides waiting for it to come out in regular shampoos? I'll be buying the rinses from now on. Her roots matched her church clothes yesterday!

Some hot oil treatments will really get the color out, like Olive Oil. There's also a treatment called Uncolor by L'oreal I think that gets semi permanant color out. I'd go with the oil treatments first though.

The aphogee treatment has instructions for removing/lifting hair color. Give it a try. but be very careful in using it...it ain't to be played around with...

Thanks ladies! I'm going to try the hot oil on her and see if that works. You jogged my memory about an oil I used to use before I started dying my hair.

I had the same problem and consulted my hair dresser cousin. He just told me to use another rinse on my hair to correct the color. He said u can rinse as much as u want because it is harmless and veggie based(like jazzing).I sometimes rinse my hair every 2 weeks and my hair is very healthy.

hope this helps :)
