I am so loving my Revlon Realistic Relaxer. It's been 2 wks since my touch-up and I still love the way my hair looks and feels. This morning on my Shampoo day I did my conditioner wash (Suave), CPR, Roux Porosity Control and more Suave, Aussie leave-in, CareFree Curl and hair oils. The Roux gives me great slip. To me the relaxer has made my hair look healthier. It is still wet since I'm air drying of course. Just wanted to share how happy I am with my hair.
Here is the site for Roux Porosity if you want to see it. Sallys sales this and the sample/small bottle is under $2.00. The old bottle use to be white and had Revlon on it.

As for the relaxer, I used the Regular in the white tub with black writing. For those who heard me say good things about the Motions Oil well, this is much better.

i'm glad you shared because i have not found a place that uses affirm lye that is reasonably priced so i thought i would bring my own and revlon was on the list. so this is a good review. about the porosity control the bottle for the conditioner says use before chemical services but is this a leave in you apply before a chemical treatment or is it something you use like a week before a touchup to strengthen the hair? also thanks for the link on another thread i spoke on my interest in porosity control for almost a year and how i never used it before because i wasnt too sure as to what it was to do. i would have been in sallys looking for the revlon bottle and seeing the roux and thinking it was something else. have you used everything in the line like the extreme pak and the shampoo or you just used the conditioner? sorry for all the questions. God bless you all.

The new bottle says to apply to damp hair before a chemical service and rinse out after 30 seconds. I think old bottle said to do about the same but it gave you seperate directions for perms, relaxers, color & conditionin. I use it maybe twice a month. Whenever I use this I know I leave it on more than 30 sec. Since I've been getting into healthy hair I think it is a good idea to use a week before relaxing. I'm just now learning about protein conditioners and all that stuff. Plus my hair get tired of stuff so I have to switch every now and then. Like I had to switch from Suave Coconut to the Aloe Vera.

i think using it a week before a relaxer would be wise instead of before one since it is been said that you shouldnt apply a relaxer to wet or damp hair and there should be x amount of days till you use a relaxer. God bless you all.
