Retaining Length with Products

Random thought this morning. The first time I BCed I used Kinky Curly to hold my curls. In 2 years I had achieved shoulder length hair with little to no effort. This time, I played around with different products and I have tangles and more SSK's than before. I'm wearing my hair the exact same way as when I BCed before. Could it be that the Kinky Curly helped me to retain length because of the way it held the curls together?

I think some products are definitely better for your hair than others so using them as opposed to something that causes tangles, etc...will help you retain. The key is finding them. If I use the wrong shampoo, wrong moisturizer, etc... I will lose inches! There is probably some conditioning property of the KCCC your hair responds to favorably.
