Really simple, took out the rollers and grabbed some hair from the front and clipped it with a mini hair claw.:)

I wonder how it would look on short hair in the back

Me too---but it will prob. be cute!

I'll be trying a rollerset (and this style ;) ) next week!

BTW: OP--your hair is beautiful!

your hair looks great but i'm really confused ( and feeling really stupid )

so how did you rollerset up? did you just apply the rollers upside down or something? i think i have an idea of what you mean but I'm just trying to imagine it

Actually I didn't even roll my entire head, I had the front tied down with a scarf(like sylver2 demo'd) and then did the back.It does seem like I had more space but then again it's been a long time since I did a traditional rollerset. I still need to get the hang of it though cause I'm not able to get the roller as tight as I can rolling down.

I'll practice while I don't have any new growth.:)

You're one of the ones I remember mentioning this way of RS. Thank you!

Okay we were on the same wave length but I actually think she did a rollerset and pulled her hair up into the mini claw clip. Am I right?

Hmmm, let's see. Imagine grabbing a section of hair on the side of your hair to roll. Roll your hair up with the roller on the "outside" of your hair instead of the "inside" like a traditional set. When you use a curling iron to do a flip(rolling up), it's different than when you bump the ends. Does that make sense?

Thanks for the compliment!:)

okay that makes a lot of sense. basically its just opposite of the traditional way. I can't get over how great your hair looks. I keep staring at it! I'm definitly going to be trying this soon.

Yes, I did the rollerset(rolling up) and after removing rollers clipped a section of it.

How did your roots come out? I am concerned about roller setting up because I think that roller setting down gets your roots straighter... Are your roots straight? What kind of rollers did you use? How did you clip them in? Did they stay in for the duration of your drying?

Sorry, I'm just VERY curious!

I don't have any NG as I'm 1 week post touchup. I'm practicing now to see how it goes. I did try it on my hair at 13 weeks post and I liked the curls but the NG was fierce(I thought I read that UP actually gets roots straighter). I'm going to see if I can get the method down now.

I used my regular magnetic rollers and just clipped them as normal. I sat under the dryer on a medium low setting for about 20 minutes and let it airdry the rest of the time. I didn't have any problems with them staying in. If you can clip them tightly rolling down, you shouldn't have a problem clipping roling up.

Ahhh, and here lies the problem!:lachen:
