Hi,
I'm new to the forum. After reading a bunch of threads on this topic, I decided that I would try Nizoral shampoo for my dermatitis. I have suffered from dermatitis for 8 years and have not had any successful relief by using anything doctors recommended or anything that was over the counter; at least not for more than a couple of days.
Nizoral's active ingredient is 1% ketoconazole. I used the shampoo last Saturday, November 21, 2009, and have been 90% flake free, 100% itch free. I have had headaches everyday, but I can't confirm that it is from using the shampoo. I think what also has helped, is that I made absolute sure to thouroughly rinse my scalp after shampooing and I avoided putting conditioner on my scalp (something I never paid close attention to before).
