so i want to put low lights in my hair but i am not sure how to go about doing so. i want medium brown low lights to be added to my black/dark brown hair. to get a better visual of it i want it to be streaked like the pictures of Gabrielle Union in my hair album. so take a look at my hair album to see whati'm working with and to see whati want my end result to be. thanks so much for your time ladies and happy growing!

What you descibed aren't lowlights - they're highlights.

If you've never colored your hair before, your best bet is to go to a professional. Colorbased (instead of bleach based) highlights are your best bet since you're relaxed. Choose a shade that won't take you too light and doesn't contain ammonia. Textures and Tones has a light brown, and a bronze shade that may do the trick. Your stylist may also have a brand she prefers to work with. I would simply ask if it contains ammonia.
