The 2 terms (remy/indian) are totally different. Indian hair generally refers to human hair that is cut from the heads of women who are of Indian (real India not American Indian) heritage.
Remy is a term that discribes the condition of the cuticles of the hair. It means the cuticles of the hair are still in tact and all going in the same direction. If you cut 2 strands off someones head at the root and then turned one upside down then the hair would no longer be remy b/c the cuticle direction would be mixed up. But with Remy you cut the hair and left it all in the same direction. Just about all hair that is processed (yaki, specific curl pattern) is non remy b/c it is difficult to process hair and correctly leave the cuticles in the same direction. When cuticles are mixed up that is what causes hair to tangle. To avoid this problem MOST processed hair has had the cuticles removedThis is why real Remy hair is a good thing.
So you can have both remy INdian and non remy INdian
