I recently did a color rinse on my hair using colourshines in reddisimo. I loved it but I cannot STAND how it gets absolutely everywhere, on pillows even when dry, on clothes when wet. Ah! I would like to get it out and do a permanent light brown color with blond highlites like I've been wanting to do that for a long time. I know the colourshines will fade eventually but it's taking a long time and I've been trying to clarify it out using suave's clarifying shampoo and baking soda but it's holding on to no end. I tried a strand test with textures and tones over the colourshines and as I had suspected, the color will not penetrate correctly through it.
I remember something about a product that can help to remove semi permanent color. Has anyone ever attempted this? What product was used and where can it be found? How much damage does this cause to the hair?
