There is not enough texlaxed pics in HERE! I want to see WnGs and other styles...please.

Oh, you want pics? :look:

I flat-ironed my hair out on Sunday night. And I've been doing big pincurls overnight.

My roots have already reverted  but it looks good overall. :yep:

My best wash-n-go (and it hasn't looked the same since ):

I should take another since my hair has grown out significantly since then and the too-straight ends are now gone.

Yes, I believe that I had used Pantene Curl Scrunching Gel this time around, but it was so long ago, I can't remember. When I wash-n-go again I'll put up another photo.

My hair isn't curled as tightly as it is in this pic. I decided to run the relaxer through my hair again to take out some of the curl, so it's not gonna look like that any more.

I'm trying to "transition" back to the tighter curls by leaving the relaxer on a few minutes less.

Sareca is texturized. I think her fotki has lots of pics.

Also StillaLady is coming out with threads every other week about a new hairstyle she's tried now that she's texlaxed.

so im considering texlaxing.... whats the purpose of texlaxing?
why do you guys specifically texlax rather than just go naturalll or relaxed.

I was natural for 2+ years before I texlaxed. I got tired of the detangling sessions, plus my hair was not retaining length because of the knots and stuff. I also can't style my hair to save my life - nor have funds to get it done - and after 2 years I was sick of being limited to twistouts or puffs. The one time I tried to flat iron my hair I burned parts of it straight.

I also will not relax my hair straight because I have fine hair and it looks waaaayyyyy too thin. :nono:

Texlaxed works for me because I can easily rollerset straight or if I feel like skipping the heat, just wash and go with very little shrinkage and very few tangles. I actually prefer to wear my hair textured (wash n go or twistout) than straight, so it actually makes no sense to relax my hair straight.

okay i understand. well right now im just 6 months post my last relaxer... can i start texlaxing now? or shud i be waiting till im fully natural. i have about 3-4inches of new growth.

You CAN, just realize that you're going to be dealing with 3 different textures: your straight ends, newly texlaxed hair, and your new growth once it starts coming in. I know some ladies have "transitioned" to texlaxed this way and gradually cut off the straight ends.
