Remington Professional flat iron review

Ladies, I was considering buying the Chi or the maxiglide, but wasn't mentally prepared to pay that much for the few times a year that I use a flat iron. NEway, I saw the Remington Professional in WalMart for $38 and it's comparable to the Chi. Just to give you an idea of my hair type, I have 3C waves and coils in the front but the back is 4a coffee stirrer coils. I relaxed my hair (5-6 inches of NG) with a medium relaxer, left it on for about 25 minutes and you can't tell that I relaxed it (though it's a lot softer). Typically due to my hair's ultra resistance, I have to run the flat iron through 3-4 times with lots of product. However, with the Remington Professional, I applied Chi Silk Infusion and only went through each section once and my hair looks like I got a fresh relaxer. My hair felt moisturized, soft, and had lots of bounce. It also gave me some sheen. Anyone who needs quality results for an affordable price, try this iron. I don't think you'll be disappointed. BTW...I have pics but can't find my cable. I'll post tomorrow.

I just bought this like 2 weeks ago! It's amazing. I love it. I did a little review of it in my regimen video.

I completely agree. Any flat iron that straightens my hair the first time is absolutely amazing. They only had that one when I want, but once I see another one, I will purchase it for a travel and backup purposes. I enjoyed your youtube review. I really have to try NTM, maybe in January. I got a lot of products I need to use up first. Off to check your fotki...your hair is beautiful.

Personally, I dont go with compromise on flat irons cause I've been burned (literally!). The Chi is fabulous btw!

I've been burned literally as well with several irons. I know the Chi is great, but so is the Remington. I can't say that the Professional is better than the Chi since I haven't used it on my entire head. When I was at JCPenny checking out the Chi, the stylist allowed me to use it on one section of my hair. I had to do it 2 times to get the desired straightness. The Professional gave me the straightness the first time and I had the temp on 360. I love it and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Thanks for the review. I'm a firm believer that just because it's name brand doesn't automatically make it better. I have the same iron, but I haven't really used it much since I'm trying to avoid heat. I will probably straighten my hair with it for Christmas though. Please post pics when you get a chance!
