That's usually what they say to people who used to live in the ghetto but made their way out. Now they're rolling in a new Mercedes and living in apartment complexes worth a quarter of a million.
I'm bringing this up because now that my hair has grown, I constantly tell myself "remember your roots!" in reference to my hair, because I've seen myself flipping my hair and acting as if I always had hair this nice

Do you find yourself forgetting your roots? Forgetting the days your hair was crispy dry, broken, and looking homeless?
I definitely feel more humbled when I remember my roots.
