Well, she took my advice and went and got a few products I suggested and hopefully will start CO washing..anyhow, today I made her let me take pics of her hair so I could put them in my album...so go see and leave suggestions ladies....now I know and she knows it looks very bad so you can say so without upsetting me or her, and the first thought that will come to mind will be CUT IT...but hey...just comment, I want her to see what others have to say, I dont think she REALLY listens to me...she said today that "It doesn't look THAT bad"

Hmm its not that bad, looks like she needs a good trim and regular deep conditioning. It also looks like she's been using heat.

Definitely not as bad as it seems. I'm pretty sure you two can whip her hair back into shape in no time.

Oh yeah, I posted a couple pics of the back of my head...hahaha..I'm going to have to find someone new to take my pics...tomorrow I will take better ones, but I think my hair is definitely thinning out

, and tomorrow sometime I'm going to add pics of my new growth

hey my hair used to look like that before I cut most of it and started over. There is hope though!
I also have a friend whose hair is in really bad shape and who just keeps puttin in weaves to cover it. Ive been talking about hair in general and she is taking some interest...Im going to loan her that book by Lisa Akbari called Beautiful Black Hair...I wish I had read it a long time ago, it just reinforces what Ive learned here!

I have seen worse too! Your friend could stand for a good trim to give her hair a little shape.

It's not that bad I think she needs to cut out heat for a while and deep condition with a good conditioner 2wice a week until the hair gets in better shape...Find a good moisturizing leave in. I think it can be saved...my hair looked like that when I started and I trimmed it a little bit and and did what I just suggested and I managed to save my hair.

Your friend's hair is not that bad AT ALL. The right products and technique could present a totally different picture of her hair.

I agree with everyone. A good trim and rollerset and her will look like new almost instantly...

She should also consider (if she wants to} adding a darkish rinse to her hair. It will get rid of those reddish tones (most likely from neutralizers} and make the hair look thicker, healthier, and give it some shine.

Sebastian or Adore or the Clairol Beautiful Browns Collection would be great choices....

thanks all! I'm going to make sure she sees all your posts and maybe this will give her hope that she doesnt have to shave her head!
