I split phyto relaxer in half like normal yesterday afternoon because i just couldn't take it no more. For my own personal logs prior to relaxing I do take notes as far as my hair condition, etc. I had between 2 and 2 1/2 inches of very thick new growth since my last relaxer which puts me at full shoulder length. It was crazy thick too and I'm not doing anything radically different at all. (could be summertime growth dunno yet.)
I did my normal routeine; sectioned my hair into 8 parts which is held with clips to make small workable sections in my hair used porosity control on relaxed ends and used a application brush to put the relaxer in.
I did figure half a jar would work just fine, per usual. BOY WAS I WRONG! I start at the top which is always the thickest and takes the longest to process and work my way back. So luckily it was only at the back of my head where I ran out. So I finished up what I had, and went ahead and mixed the 2nd half, and finished smoothing what was already in. Since I was nearly done processing by that time I just decided I would just put that 2nd half in after I rinsed.
So I rinsed, and did my normal stuff, then proceeded to relax the back of my head. Even though I tried to be careful, and wrapped it up nicely before washing the top, It still got really sopping wet. I said it , and relaxed it anyway.
So, how do I relax without getting my the section that needs to be worked on wet? Being that I'm now going to have to relax in two sections I'm curious on whats the preferred method in order to keep from the hair getting sopping wet. Also, should I wait a few days if my hair does gets wet? Even though it was fine this time, that may not be the case all the time, and I'd rather do it right if/when possible.
Thanks in advance!

Now that I'm at shoulder length I'm going to have a whole other crop of questions.
