Relaxing or Texturizing Only The Back Part Of Your Hair...

Does anyone here do that? I am considering it because the front/top (from about the ears up) seems to have little to no wave pattern at all. The back is wavy, and it is those waves that accumulate and make my roots feel "thick" a few months after I've touched up. But the front has never felt that way.

A few days ago when I was doing a half up/half down style, I discovered that the top portion is uneven. It is also shorter than the back, but that makes sense since my hair is in a "U" shape. However, the unevenness does not seem normal to me. I'm wondering if it is because that part is basically straight already and the relaxer (which I use as a texturizer) is just too 'strong' for it. I've always known that there was no deep wave in the front, but just saved that part for last and applied the relaxer to it for a few minutes anyway. It just seemed like the thing to do. :ohwell:

The back is still even, thick and waistlength. I can't think of anything else I've done to my hair that would cause a problem with the top.

What do you think? This really seems like a no brainer so I don't know why it didn't occur to me years ago.

I've never done it but it sounds like a good idea to me. Besides, you can always go back and relax the front later if you change your mind.

I believe a Anikalia does that with her hair and its truely gorgeous. If you search in the memberlist you can find her album.

Thanks, ladies. :)

Divastate, I will check her album out. I just looked at yours and your hair is absolutely gorgeous. :yep:

Hi Diva,

I may post some pics someday. I have a digital camera but it doesn't take great pictures. They're nice enough for me as far as basic snapshots go, but they don't look as clear and sharp as the pics I see posted here. When I get a better digital camera, I will snap a few hair pics. :yep:
