Does anyone here do that? I am considering it because the front/top (from about the ears up) seems to have little to no wave pattern at all. The back is wavy, and it is those waves that accumulate and make my roots feel "thick" a few months after I've touched up. But the front has never felt that way.
A few days ago when I was doing a half up/half down style, I discovered that the top portion is uneven. It is also shorter than the back, but that makes sense since my hair is in a "U" shape. However, the unevenness does not seem normal to me. I'm wondering if it is because that part is basically straight already and the relaxer (which I use as a texturizer) is just too 'strong' for it. I've always known that there was no deep wave in the front, but just saved that part for last and applied the relaxer to it for a few minutes anyway. It just seemed like the thing to do.
The back is still even, thick and waistlength. I can't think of anything else I've done to my hair that would cause a problem with the top.
What do you think? This really seems like a no brainer so I don't know why it didn't occur to me years ago.
