relaxing/grey hairs

Hey ladies,

I just got my mom on the Phyto wagon after going years of not relaxing and she loves it. Only thing is it tints her grey hairs yellowish. Is there a good shampoo that can help with that problem?

There are shampoos available to get the yellow tinge out of grey hair. I know that Sally Beauty Supply sells a brand named Shimmer Lights. Look for the one formulated for grey hair. Be careful though. Overuse or incorrect use of this shampoo will turn gray hair bluish or purplish. Before applying it to the hair, the shampoo should first be emulsified in the palms until it lathers up.

I believe there's another brand by the name of "Yellow Out."

My mom has lovely silver hair and she uses salerm shampoo for grey hair. l'oreal also has a shampoo for silver hair that I want her to try. She uses a moisturizing shampoo and then the one made for grey hair. It turns out a very pretty silverish color that shimmers in the sun light. everybody praises her hair, people stare at her and ask her if it is a wig (a white wig)

I've been thinking of stopping dyeing my hair and going white,it's almost grey, on the other hand I would like to try this henna and indigo treatment

my mom uses ghirmack shampoo for grey hair.. she got it from walmart.

if i recall correctly, neutralizer demolishes that problem.

believe it or not, she uses those homemade relaxers, in my country most people cannot afford store bought relaxers so people make do with home made,strange concoctions made with lye,eggs,potatoes and some silicone maaany women lose their hair but not my mom, don't know why,she has very soft shoulder lenght, almost armpit hair that she's always trimming because"long hair does not suit older women", but she rollersets faithfully every weekend, and uses a satin scarf at night and NEVER blows out or flat irons
one of my sister is relaxed(same home made relaxer) and has BSL , the other is natural
