I used Mizani in the past and really liked it. I currently use Elucence and I really love it.

Hi Ladies! I lurked around this board for a week, joined, and have continued lurking

I've decided to break my silence by singing my praises for Soft & Beautiful Botanicals relaxer. My scalp is pretty sensitive and my hair always takes to relaxers very quickly. Botanicals is the only relaxer I've tried that doesn't irritate my scalp. I mean I hardly feel any itching at all and it has never caused any burns. I'm sold!

JELLYNOTE AND MYCO:

I notice you all both have the same hair type as me and use affirm lye mild. I continue to get underprocessed with this relaxer. How does yours turn out? Are you able to get it straight? How long do you leave it on?

Can you described what you mean by "underprocessed" and "straight"? I ask because I think it depends on your perception, because if I saw your hair, I might think there was nothing wrong with it. My hair still retains a loose wave pattern after I relax.

I don't actually know how long it takes me, but I try to do it when a 30 minute program is on. I should be rinsing by the climax of the show. The key for me is getting it in quickly and using a fitted plastic glove to smooth it. I just go in with my hands and seperate different sections and smooth it with my fingers. That way I can feel my hair and tell which sections need more relaxer. I think it's very important that you don't skimp on the amount of relaxer that you apply to each section.
