Hi all,
I want to find a relaxer that will give me silky hair with bounce and body. Is there a relaxer like that for 4-A thick hair? Please send any relaxer that comes to mind. Also keep in mind that I am 4-A. If you are not, I probably will not get the same results as you do... Oh, and I am a "lye" girl :yep:
smooches!

I use Mizani lye regular. I can't remember if it is the one with the blue line or not. I have very relaxer resistant hair so I am not sure if the body is from my hair or my hair in conjunction with the relaxer.

SunySydeofLyfe Are you 4-A? And have you used this relaxer before? I will check it out.. thanks.

Lucie I tried Mizani one time and it just made my hair flat and straight. No body or anything. but you look like you have silky hair already so that could be why it worked for you like you said :)

Oh really? I wouldn't say my hair is silky. More like fluffy. LOL! And when my hair is natural it is BUSHYYYYYYYY!

What kind of results do you want? I use Linange, would still recommend Mizani, both lye relaxers, but the linange leaves me with mucho texture versus mizani which leaves me with good texture, but not as much as linange

I wouldn't say I have bouncy hair, but it is pretty "big" and does have a nice shine. Linange left me with the best relaxer results. Ors left me with the worse results.

I actually love ORS Lye relaxer. But I like my hair really straight. Never had any burns or anything. And I get silky hair every time.

Another runner up is Silk Elements but I like ORS a tad bit more. HTH

Im a true 4b with very resistant hair. The last few years its all I've used. It leaves my fine hair with lots of volume and body. My edges dont revert as it had in the past. I dont suffer with dry hair (I did have some matting, but I dont blame the relaxer I was over using protein) minimal breakage and my hair is growing. I really consider myself texlaxed because of how full my hair appears not the bone straight no lye left me with.

I'm 4a/b and Affirm no lye relaxers get my ultra silky hair. Recently I've been using the Affirm Fiberguard

I use Vitale Sensitive no lye. People don't talk about it much, but the whole line gets great reviews. I use it to texlax now (diluted) but when I was bone-straight, it did the job with no burning and my hair used to be flowing.

I'm a cottony 4a with fine strands but a lot of them.
