Yes I know my ends look scrappy, but I am now 1 inch to APL, but I am counting 3 inches because I have to cut off about 2 inches. I never wear my hair down so only you ladies see it like this. My plan is to grow to two inches past and then cut to even out. So I have 3 inches of growing befor emy first goal. Anyhow, I relaxed a day earlier and it came out perfectly. No burning whatsoever, and I usually have some. I think the key is that I washed 3 days before and put castor oil on the scalp. I have to remember to do that next time. Originally I wanted to relax in halves, top then back, but when I finished putting on the top and sides I was not burning and decided to continue with the back, I had time to smooth and and it was perfect. I used the Mizani neutralizing shampoo, Phormula 7, to rinse three times then I deep conditioned with Moisturfuse, during the rinse process I got a little nervous as I say a few hairs floating around but then I remembered that I had not combed my hair in three days, so they were probably shedded hairs.
After I put some jojoba oil and a little castor oil along with a dot of humestress and let airdry. I then used a warm flat iron to straigthen a bit more, put some Mizani nighttime H2O on the ends and put in rollers. This morning I had nice bouncing curls which I promptly put up in an updo. The best part is that I gained inches, not sure how many, but now I am 1 inch from APL. I am happy.
This weekend I will treat with mixture of hydrafuse and Kerafuse.
