When I was transitioning I always had this problem... Now that I am back to relaxing (well texlaxing) my hair frizzes... and not jus a lil frizz... Major poof... like I dont have a perm. I am touching up my hair on Thurs with ORS Olive Oil Relaxer in Normal. I was actually thinking of doing a corrective and straightening the whole head out a lil more to rectify the situation until a friend told me my boar bristle brush was causign the frizz. She said she read it on a hair board (might actually be this one) but i dont see it in any search...

If anyone has any suggestion about controlling the frizz or whether to do a corrective OR get rid of my beloved boar brush that I use to wrap at night... LET ME KNO PLEASE.... Thanks

When I had frizzy hair it was either dry or split ends.

Dry - up my moisturizing DC and use natural oil on the length of my hair every two-three days

Split Ends - trim/dust

ETA: Yes, under-process hair will cause frizzy hair

I am underprocessed in some areas, those are the parts that frizz.

I'm going to try Sabino Moisture Block, hopefully that will help with that.

ALL THE TIME!!! though my frizz has nothing to do with damage; my hair is the healthiest it's ever been. it's because my hair isn't processed 100%-- so each individual strand looks sort of crinkly. and when you get a lot of crinkly strands, and it's greater than 0% humidity outside, it's frizz city! (for me at least)

i love my frizz, though. it makes my hair look 1000% bigger than it actually is. i love wearing it down on drizzly or rainy days, and getting stares from people

Yeah! Frizz is a sign that your hair is not processed to death. My hair frizzes in humidity. I see it as a sign of (tensile) strength!!!

You GROW girl!

I sure do! Quite often actually. One thing I like about the cooler temperature is that I have less frizz to deal with.

my hair got frizzy, especially during a major stretch...but it only happened when i was using a no-lye

YES YES YES!!!! I have just relaxed my hair. I was texturizing before. When I roller set, I have to follow up with heat, because my hair is a hot mess. I agree, my hair is very healthy too, but the parts that aren't relaxed frizz up ALL THE TIME!!! Very frustrating!

Thanks Ladies,

My hair isnt damaged or dry... it isnt the healthiest it been but I know that not the reason... my hair has been damaged and dry and this never happened.

I also love my hiar big but this is a lil to bad. it looks like nothing was ever done. ugh. I think that I might do a slight corrective.

So NOONE thinks its the brush?

YESSSS. Humidity is the devil when I'm wearing my hair flatironed .. But when it comes to braidouts I've just embraced the frizz.

wait... you Deep pre poo, shampoo, and that's it? where's your post shampoo conditioning? i don't think that's contributing to your frizzness, but i think you should definitely be putting something moisturizing on your hair after stripping it with shampoo.

No no no:nono:.... I do! I would be bald if I didnt! I do a regular post shampoo condish for like 3 mins... but not Deep Condish.... since I deep condish before my poo

I used to be plagued with frizzy ends, but since I've started consistently DC'ing with steam, my hair has really picked up and it feels and looks very moisturised. It's a hassle getting the big steamer out all the time, but it's very worth it.
