How do you keep your plaits raveled? (cant think of another word lol)
Do you braid it to the end?
I remeber when I was naturak twist and braids would stay together of course, but im wondering that since im relaxed now it wont have the same effect.
If you do braid to the end, wouldnt that be potentially harmful to your ends?

Thanks ladies

If I braid it when it's damp and scarf til dry, it MIGHT stay.

Under my wigs I have plaitts. I don't plaitt to the ends because I too think its damaging when trying to unplaitt them. So what I do is plaitt to the almost tip, maybe 1/2 inch & then I get a creamy butter moisturizer & spread it on my ends to keep it closed. I then pin them up to my head with those rollerset clips until I decide to take them down again.

I'm still 90% relaxed, and I keep my transitioning hair plaited in the back. I don't braid all the way to the ends, and as long as I air dry, they stay plaited until wash day. I think plaiting to the ends would probably be damaging and I'm trying to retain as much growth as possible.

I wear four plaits underneath my wigs. I braid as far down as possible and then I twist the ends. I sometimes apply aloe vera gel to the ends for better hold. I pin down the front braids to the back braids with a bobby pin.

If I plan to take them out, sure. Once the get wet, it's a wrap.

I personally can't wash or co-wash in my plaits b/c my hair is too short. As soon as I unpin the plaits they begin to unravel. I plait my hair every night after m&s. Your hair is much longer, so it may work.

Like @JeterCrazed, I plait my hair while it's damp when I'm finished airdrying. I clip the bottom and slather castor oil on the ends.

For me, as long as their small enough, yes. If the sections are bigger than an inch, I have trouble getting the product out.

I plait and don't worry about going to the end. I'll put one of my dd's barrettes on the end to hold it together or pin it up.
