Everyone please update your regimine. Everyone's hair is lookin' so good in your pictures, and I want to know what you are doing for/to your hair! TIA!

I am currently doing braids every 3 months. I relax about a week after I take them out and wait a month before I put them in again. I usually keep the braids in up to 2 months.

I try to co wash daily while I am in braids.

While not in braids I wear a series of phony tails and buns and quick weave to keep my hair in some sort of protective style. I will continue the braid/phony regemin until I get enough of my own hair to put comfortably in a bun.

I do daily co washes with just about any conditioner. I use GF 3 min masque, VO5, Lust or whatever other conditioner I have on hand.

Once a week I wash with shampoo usually Nexuss Therappe or Dove Ultra moisturizing. I deep condition with Lekair Cholestorol or Keracare Humecto. I spray a little Biolage Leave-in tonic on my hair and proceed to apply CD hair milk and S-curl. I apply a little CDHHB to my hairline and nape area and comb up into a ponytail. I use the baggie technique to keep my ends moist. Afterwards I put on a phony something!

My vits:

Biotin
MSM
Amino Acid Complex
Vitamin C
VS Hair Skin Nails

DSD, you can do conditioner washes with braids? I am in braids too, and I wasn't sure if you could or not, because of buildup from the conditioner. How do you do your conditioner washes? Is it different with braids in? Do you deep condition too? Sorry so many questions, I've just been wondering about this.

To get back on topic, my regimen right now is using a leave in conditioner 2x a day on my braids, and spraying my scalp with Surge once or twice a day. I shampoo once a week with diluted shampoo. I take vitamin e, omega 3, and multi vitamin and msm every day, and try to drink 8 cups of water.

My hair is natural and started out between 5-6 inches. I plan to keep my braids in for 2 months, I'll see how long I can go without them when I take them out, I'm hoping I can wait at least 2 weeks.

My regimine hasnt changed that much:
I still do co washes everyday with Suave Naturals, Dove, or Herbal Essences Intensive, except i switched them to night because of the weather. Im glad Im down to only three conditoners!! I had 7 in November. After my co wash I add mango butter, or Hawaiian silky no drip activator to my damp hair. Then i cover my head with my silk bonnet.

In the morning i spray water on my hair and moisturize again with Hawaiian silky no drip activator.

1x a week I deep condition with Aloe Vera Cholesterol, with or with out a haet cap for 45 min.

1x a month I do a protein treatment with Fantasia IC protein Conditioner

1x a month I might clarify.

Im on a search for a new moisturizer besides mango butter and the no drip activator. I have a new list of condtioners I wanna try or I plan on rebuying which include Herbal Essences Fruit Fusions, Garnier Fructis (love it), VO5 Strawberries (love it), and Suave Humectant.

oh yes dsd please tell us how you do the co washes in the braids? i plan on braiding soon and i would still like to do them. Do they get tangled (the loose ends of the braids)

I conditioner wash with Generic Humectress (Nexxus knock-off) every night and bun it/phonytail-baggie method it the next day.

I deep condition as needed with cholesterol - usually twice a week.

Once a month I use the breakage control serum - Elasta QP.

My regime is getting simpler and simpler.

I have changed my regime slightly. I keep my hair in flat braids, for at least 5-7 days, I rinse twice a day. I make a herbal hair solution, rosemary, horsetail, nettle and kombu tea added glyerine, aloe vera gel, aloe vera juice, rosewater, castor oil and olive oil. Also I surge twice a day and also add olive oil and castor oil mixture on my scalp after surging.

Sweetpea and Ayeshia, Yes conditioner washes can be done while in braids. I generally don't have excessive buildup. I just apply the conditioner and massage in. I then take a cup and put conditioner in it and fill it with water and mix it together. I pour the mixture over the length of the braids and let it sit for the remainder of my shower. I rinse completely out. That's it! I use light conditioners like VO5 and GF.

I don't deep condition. I leave that for when I take the braids out. I think that the heavier conditioners would cause the extra buildup that you are concerned about.

They don't get tangled up. I just make sure I lean my head back into the shower stream.

Mine is finally beginning to take shape! I wash twice a week:
Mid-week
Shampoo with Jason jojoba, condition(5-10 mins) with either Jason sea kelp or biotin, Elasta intense,

Weekend
Shampoo with Keracare dry itchy scalp, condition (20 mins) with Phyto karite, LUST or Affirm 5 in 1.

I always follow with Biolage leave in, Profectiv breakfree, Loreal serum and jojoba oil. Once a month I use Joico kpak. I'm currently relaxing every 8 weeks with Affirm fibreguard, but I want to change to Affirm regular.
I moisturise daily with Profectiv breakfree and jojoba oil.
