What's your regimine? Do you put a protein step in the regimine? I want to hear it all.

I use a semi-permanent hair dye by Natural Instincts in Midnight, and I dye my hair about 3 times a year. This dye has no ammonia, and low peroxide so it's not too harsh or drying.

I leave the dye in my hair for about 30 min (it takes very fast), rinse it throroughly, use a tiny bit of a moisturizing, color-safe shampoo, then deep condition for like two hours with the conditioner that comes in the box mixed with something else I have lying around like Joico-K pak or Activate Hydrate or Phytojojoba. Then blowdry, press, flat iron. :)

I color using Bigen: so I can relax & color in the same day: I use protein the week before and after: wen I color: i follow the instructions: can't afford to do somethin diff. and tear myself up

Just finished coloring my hair using Feria Starry Midnight Bright Black.

I apply vaseline or Aquaphor all around my forehead and ears & apply color. Usually leave it in for 20-30 minutes. I rinse until I see the water run clear & then shampoo w/either ORS Creamy Aloe or SoftSheen Carson Breakthru Shampoo. I then DC w/a combo of Kan Kanechomn Color Ton Deep Conditioning Cream, Feria Conditioner, a squirt of Affirm 5 En 1 & EVOO for 30 minutes. I apply my leave-ins; Razac & Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In and rollerset.

Tonight, I will be blow drying for the first time in years, so I will substitute the Cantu w/John Frieda Relax Blow Drow Cream. HTH!!!
