Hey ladies how long can henna be
1)refridgerated
2)frozen
I henna'd on Nov 1 and had some left over so i put it in the fridge...do you think it would be safe to use the remainder within the next couple of days? :ohwell: TIA

As far as I know, I think you can keep it in the freezer for like up to 6 months after being mixed. HTH

Edited to Add- that it is probably safe to use but you may not get the dye release that you normally would.

I premix my henna - usually about a pound at a time, let the color release, and then freeze it in ziploc bags - about 1/2 a cup a bag, which is enough to do my whole head once I mix it with my conditioner. I usually end up with 8-10 bags, and they all go in the freezer for me to use. I only henna once a month, so that's almost a year - and I haven't had any trouble with it, besides the fact that cold henna on your head - well, it's COLD. :lachen:

The only time I use 'fresh' powdered henna is if I'm making a speciality mix for some reason.

I've even refrozen henna mixed with conditioner to use later - never had any complaints...
