Bump... way overdue though...

I tried it for the first time this past weekend...and LOVE it. The color comes out rich and actually made my hair pretty soft. What I admired as well, was that it made my hair super shiny! I'm going to try other color combos this weekend.:drunk:

This is an outstanding product. I have used it off and on for years! But I am biased I LOVE Redken and have for at least 25 yrs!!

is this a rinse?
do i have to lighten my hair first before i use it?
how much does it cost?

It's a demi-permanent color, so it lasts longer than semi-permanent colors. (It's a 'gloss').
You dont have to lighten your hair; like a semi, it merely tints the hair by depositing color.
And the price varies...its a 'professional only' product, so you're lucky to find it in stores but theres plenty of it on ebay... Ricky's in NYC sells the line in store though. =]

HTH!

This is what my hairdresser uses on me. I like that it doesn't fade in between touch ups like the semipermanents do.

The first time my new hair dresser did my hair (relaxer, trim, black rinse), she used the redken EQ gloss. My hair literally looked like a wig. It was SUPER shiny and soooo mosturized. Me and my boyfriend was in the mirror for hours like....WOW...no lie. So I stretched my perm (4 months), have been megateking and finally went in for my touch up. And since it's the spring, i didn't want a black rinse this time. But she failed to let me know that there is a clear gloss as well that could be applied on the hair for shine. I was a little pissed that she told me after the fact so I went online and ordered me some eq clear gloss with the processing solution from Extended Lengths. Needelss to say, my hair did not come out the way she first did it. Does anyone know what happend? BTW...I applied the mix on my dry hair.

On processed hair (like ours) it has to be applied to freshly shampooed hair -

So I've been reading a lot about the product and the reviews have been wonderful. Does anybody know where I can purchase this or do I have to order it online? I'm so impatient! lol!

I know where to get this in NY (Ricky's, some BSS) but online you can get it on ebay or extendedlengths.com

Stardust-- I'm not sure what happened...Unless I lightened my hair permanently, or had a pre-poo, etc. I always use it on dry hair...*IMO* the hair take is better...on wet hair, its basically like you're toning the hair, the color takes less (unless you really towel dry the hell outta your hair)

I've used the shades EQ about 4 times and always did it myself--always super shiny, moisturized, etc. I'm not sure what happened with the application, but you can try it on wet hair, like a previous member suggested.
