When should reconstructors be used? Are they only used when there is damage and repairs need to be made or can they factored into a regime? Thanks in advance chicas:yep:

if you are relaxed, IMO, you should use once at least once a month. when i was relaxed i used a five minute reconstructor(joico) every week followed by a moisturizing deep conditioner.
i would say use one once a month and then more frequently depending on how your hair reacts to it.

I try to use a Reconstructor at least monthly for my Relaxed Hair. However, at 10 Weeks Post, I have incorporated the use of a mild reconstructor into my weekly Session to keep my Hair nice & strong during my Stretch.

I will Co-Wash, use a Reconstructor for 5-10 minutes, DC w/Moisture and then proceed with my normal styling process.

I'll either use Joico K-Pak, Nexxus Kerphix or Giovanni Nutra-Fix weekly.:yep:

I agree...the longer I go into my stretch the more likely I use my Aphogee 2 Minute Reconstructer. It makes my new growth surprisingly soft, yet strong!
