Hey Everyone,
I put EVOO in my hair before shampooing,
shampoo with Motions Weightless Conditioning Shampoo
condition with Motions Weightless Detangling Conditioner
once a week i use the Aphogee 2 min
And DC with Silk elements Cholesterol

After i Rinse i put EVOO with Infusium 23 Leave in (the brown cap)

Thank you :):)

O yeah btw my hair is a 4a relaxed

I believe all items I highlighted have a protein base. You may be in protein overload. ITA agree with what someone suggested earlier that you may want to cut back your Aphogee treatments. Also look into possibly mixing up your DC with a moisturizing product (try Aussie 3 minute miracle or NTM deep cond mask).

I highly recommend NTM leave in, Rusk Smoother Condish leave-in and Fructis Sleek and Smooth. I tend to mix all three and my hair ends up detangled and shiny!

Good Luck

I've been using Elasta QP htwo & NTM Silk touch together and they leave my hair very smooth and detangled. Lately I've been experimenting with Scurl as a leave-in and so far so good :)

Lacio lacio is great for detangling after a shampooing, nothing better!!! however I too am looking for a moisturizing leave-in without a loud smell, Cantu is toooo loud and dries out during the day. I have some Triple moisture right now, i've noticed it works better on dry hair. Searching for one that will hols moisture through the day....Sunshyn I was just thinking today about Scurl activator in the jar perhaps...I use the spray on my braids...ans they are always DRY...synthetic hair drinks up everything!!!

hey sorry im kinda new here what exactly are cones?

Check out these links to help you out as the explanation is pretty long:

Cones are really not bad for our hair if you are using sulfate clarifying poos on a regular basis to clarify the hair (at least once a month) but for those of us that are trying to use more natural/organic poos and conditioners are steering clear of silicone-rich poos and conditioners as much as possible.

I am not completely cone free but I am trying to reduce the amount of products that are full of cones/silicones. Cones help to protect your hair against heat damage, they lock moisture in the hair and have the ability to lock it out as well to help prevent frizzy hair.

In a nut shell, silicones in and of themselves are fine. They can be beneficial, and can make your hair look and feel quite silky, shiney, and healthy.

The problems occur when silicones build up on your hair, 'clogging' the cuticle of the hair, and damaging it. Silicones can also cause your hair to become dry looking or even frizzy if they build up on the hair shaft. Using a clarifying shampoo is an easy way to ensure that you get the benefits of silicones without suffering the potential damaging effects of build up.

Thanks for the info!

Is Pantene R&N conditioning shampoo a good shampoo for clarifying ?
If not do you have any recommendations on what I could use?

I bought the NTM mask yesterday and mixed it in with EVOO a little bit of tea tree oil and my Silk elements and sat under the dryer.

At first i was kinda scared because i had almost no slip so i comb through it in the shower under running water. After that my hair felt hard but i proceeded with the NTM leave in and then let my hair air dry. Its softer now but at the after a DC it was hard.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have never tired a leave in because my hair gets weighed down by products
When I roller set I only use clear water on my hair.

Can anyone recommend a light leave in????

Elasta QP H-Two! Very light, just like water, and it isn't protein- or cone- heavy

Hi there!
I can't help you with all of your questions but I can reccommend a leave-in. If you want a protein leave-in then I would suggest Infusium-23. If you want a moisturizing leave-in I can suggust Cantu shea butter! It smells good and it moisturizes my hair. Im natural! HTH

I have heard great things about this. Apparently, it must be good because it stays out of stock. Previously, I have used Infusium 23 and liked it when in braids or sewins. I like the moisturising one. Actually, I was attempting to pick some up last night and picked up the wrong bottle. I picked up regular conditioner, so I have to exchange it. I have used it over the years during my time of LHCF. I also use V-05 Strawberries and Cream conditioner or what ever fragrance I can find in that type V-05 conditioner.

I had that experience some years back with Parneveu (sp?). The first time I used it, it was good then the second seems like it changed and left a glaze or something.

On my relaxed hair I used to use Neutragena Triple Moisture and it was good.

I don't use this shampoo and therefore I am unable to elaborate on it further, but I do use Mizani Phormula 7 neutralizing shampoo, Mizani Puriphyl Shampoo, or Elucence Clarifying Shampoo,or Creme of Nature Clarifying Shampoo. ORS Aloe Shampoo is a clarifying shampoo as well and most v05 shampoos are also clarifying. A Clarifying shampoo will say so on the label, or it might say cleansing, or chelating. Clarifying shampoos remove product build-up off of the hair. Chelators remove chlorine and mineral deposits off the hair.
