I have been transitioning for 11 weeks now and i really want to flat iron. Any suggestions on a good iron and advice on a method to straighten with the least damage?

I know that most people love the FHI platform.

I am hearing good things about the Sedu.

I have a Sedu and I love it! The plates are smoother than any other plates I've felt. They feel like glass! It has variable heat settings. It heats up quickly and holds on to its heat. It's about $115 on Folica.com

Just remember to use a heat protectant when you flat iron your hair. And don't use heat any hotter than you need it.

I have a Maxiglide and it's great.

Really lemming the FHI Runway though.:look:

tried all of them and i say GHD hands down!

i have a solia but i want an FHI. dont get me wrong, i love my solia.

sabino mb is a really good heat protectant; others are FHI hot sauce and silk elements heat protectant spray.

I love my fHI 207RVI!!! Done properly with some aveda damage control sprayed on it's the best!

I have a Sedu and it's awesome. Anything that can get my coarse hair straight has to be the bomb!

Hey if you have a Sally Beauty Supply nearby, they are currently having a deal, which offers a really good flat iron (Jilbere Tourmaline Flat Iron) for free when you purchase the blow dryer, they seperately sale for 64.99, so you would be saving 65 bucks! My sister has it and she really likes it because it heats up to 448 degrees and flat irons her hair really well!

I had the FHI, loved it, but I dropped it one to many times. It really did the job of getting my new growth straight. I switched over to the Sedu, after hearing so many good reviews. I cant think of any complaints, I really love the plates on the sedu. They are snag proof!!

I love the way Maxi glide straightens and smooths the hair with it's internal pins. It is the easiest to use flat iron IMO.

I love the SEDU and MaxiGlide, but I am dying to try the FHI.
