DH is assembling the dryer. It was actually super easy!

I didn't press the roots I was too tired after henna and indigo and rollersetting.

Sideways banana clip (this is after being bunned for a few hours)

My hair is so soft ( can't keep my hands out of it), it is holding the curls very well, it seems fairly humidity resistant (I was only outside about 5 minutes)... basically I'm in :infatuated:

Good job!!:yep: So what differences, if any did you notice with the Pibbs and other dryers you've used?

Let's see...
  • It took less time and less heat--my old one used to get much much hotter. When I first got under this one I was thinking "is that as hot as it's gonna get?" I was so surprised it dried that fast.
  • It took 15 minutes less time to dry.
  • It makes much less noise than my other one.
  • It doesn't feel like I put heat on my hair. Probably because the heat was so low (even at 50). Seems like the Pibbs dries by using a lot of fast moving air not necessarily hot air. My hair feels like it airdried.
I'm sure I'll have more after my second rollerset. Or after my next relaxer in about 2 weeks.

oh wow this place is not far from me....so when i get ready to purchase this i can just go and pick it... lol :)

Me either, I can get their from home in about 25 minutes and it's maybe about 15-20 minutes from job. I should be able to pay a visit to pick up a new Pibbs in September.

I love my Pibbs!!! My bf calls it Darth vader:lachen: That is officially the best hair purchase I ever made!!!

LOL!

Tonight my husband asked me long Mr Pibbs was gonna live in the kitchen. I said, until he's ready to move out (to another part of the house). :lachen: Ain't nobody kickin' my baby out. :nono2:

That is just to funny. Congrats on your new dryer!

How ironic. I am looking for a replacement professional dryer, as well as a brand new steamer. I have a salon dryer chair with a dryer insert, but it has given out. I was thinking of just buying a replacement dryer unit to insert into the chair, but now I am thinking about a turbo dryer. The only thing is I'm not sure if the hood will be big enouh (I have a big head and use really big rollers now ), so how big is the dryer hood?

Also, be sure to use nets with these turbo dryers, as the air flow will pull the hair upward, and it could potentially get caught in the vents (i've had it happen in the salon a long time ago when not using a net. I don't know why the stylist didn't know this, but anyways...)
