Hello lovely ladies!

Just thought it would be fun to share a mile stone. I finally reached WL I've been on this site 10 years trying to grow my hair it has taken a really long time. But thank everyone for all the advice and encouragement over the years.

So here are my details, regimine etc

History:
1995 - 2010
Relaxed shoulder length hair
2010 - 2015
Natural hair reached bsl
2015- 2017
Relaxed hair reached waist length

Why I went natural-
I wanted to know my hair texture learn about natural products and stop using chemicals. I also moved overseas and knew I wouldnt have access to relaxers.

Why I went back to relaxing-
I enjoyed being natural but I have fine dense 4b/4c hair and I'm tender headed. My wash days with breaks were 8 he ordeals and I was pregnant with my first child. I knew I couldn't give my hair the maintence it needed so I have relaxed it until I see what it will require to do hair for two girl children.

My Reggie-
(Please don't be disappointed)
-I wash 1x a week or 1x every two weeks.
-Wash with Giovani 50:50 balance
-Condition with whatever is available usually Treseme
(Don't deep condition no time right now but will start again when my youngest is less time consuming)
-Seal water with olive oil, or plain grease
-Braid and wear braid outs most of the time usually by day 3 I'm wearing a bun
-Blow dry and flat iron 1x a month or 1x every 2 months
-Relax 1x every 4 months

Feel free to ask any questions I did have natural hair for 5 years and over the years have tried several products.

My goal is waist length trimmed without wispy ends so I still have a little bit to go.PART_1500172916430.jpg 20170716_151437.jpg PART_1500172916430.jpg 20170716_151437.jpg
The second pic is a part not a bald spot don't be concerned lol!

Congrats! Lovely hair, and I love your super simple regimen. I also liked that you wear your hair out and enjoy it...you seem to have a healthy attitude about hair.

Thank you! It did take me a little time to get better about my hair hang ups lol

Congratulations on the hair milestone! I love it when people have stories like these. It can take time to figure out your hair. I agree with what @AdoraAdora24 said about it taking off.

Can you post how you got and keep that little waist of yours snatched, please?

Lol! It is really due to breastfeeding and when I first had my baby I had to drastically cut back on gluten so that helped. But now I got to work on my stretch marks and excess skin. My baby was almost 10lbs so my skin took a beating.

I believe this 100% works, not by personal experience:

Mix Shea butter and Extra Virgin olive oil together, smear it all over belly, wrapped it with cling wrap.

OMG! Why was this the exact mixture and method I was going to try after researching the possible fixes. I mean I was going to try Olive oil before I started add ing any coconut oil or other oils. Ok so now I feel more confident that this will work, I'm excited. Thank you!!

YAY Congrats!!!! Soooo inspiring!!! I love the simplicity of your reggie and your hair looks great. How did you primarily wear your hair? Did you protective style @moore.1506 ? Also, do you self-relax or go to the salon? What brand of relaxer do you use?

Sorry for all the questions, lol.

Congrats on your progress and the birth of your baby.

However, almost 10lbs? *passes da hell out*

Been there so I know what you mean. My son literally wore me out.....keep wearing girdles is what you should do and continue to breast feed Congrats to you again!

No problem that's what we are here for!

To get my hair to bsl was honestly due to being natural and I did wear protective styles mostly just cause I'm lazy. Now I wear buns and don't do much heat although I'm relaxed. I also wear lots of braid outs.

My mother relaxes my hair when I do it myself I don't do as good a job. My hair is really dense so when I go to salons they complain so I rarely go. In fact last time I went I was relaxed and the stylist somehow managed to lock my hair I had to go home and Detangle myself and Blow dry it. It took hours I was so mad. I went back just for the press. It was a mess.

The relaxer I use is the ORS Olive Oil cause I love their deep conditioner.
