Raven-Symone Natural Hair Interview on Curly Nikki

I love Raven and I adore her hair. Curlynikki, you are awesome for this interview. I am so happy she is a fellow diy'er.

haha people tried to bring the race thing in here too. give it up! if her hair had been like rudy's on the show, we would've questioned her now too

anyway i've never been a huge fan of hers but i can see now that she's sweet. she seems a bit realer than most celebs. i like the color of her hair as well

I loved the interveiw & I like what she said about knowing your hair's limitations, especially when it comes to weaves.

I've had a weave twice in my life and those experiences were enough to let me know that they are too much for my hair.

Her natural hair looks nice. However her weaves always looked bad to me,i dont care how much money she spent on them.

I recently cut my hair off again. I had another bad weave for a show. I cut it off, but it’s super cute... it’s old school JT length again. And I don’t have a problem with it. I’m understanding. I have the Organic Root Stimulator Hair Mayonnaise, and a super fantastic Olive Oil Conditioner and some other things. I also like Doo Gro. I have totally become my grandma and oil my scalp. My boyfriend is like, ‘I can’t even touch your hair because it’s so greasy!’ I say, ‘well it’s growing, so don’t touch it! Let it do what it do!’

She has that old school mentality of thinking if you "grease" your scalp it will grow fast. If it works for her than cool, but she needs to take a look at LHCF.

Unfortunately for Raven (and me) the Afrodisiac line got discontinued last year....
I loved that line it was made by Ayo Laguda and Urban Retreat spas, it came to an end when he left their services...
I was gutted , but managed to get their last 2 bottles of their leave in at Harrods  (yep i harassed members of staff till they found it in the stockroom)

Um, actually her hair does look the same, so I'm not sure that the snark is warranted. It's funny how much the other profile got people mad, esp. when she herself copped to heat training/damage and said her hair didn't curl up like it used to. So many people act like using a dryer or flat iron one time causes heat damage, then get up in arms when someone admits to having permanent heat damage.
I guess it let's people who had afro-textured hair as kids believe that their hair can be "naturally" curly too to think that hair would get much less kinky as you age.
