Rant.. Im in bun hell and I want my sexy back.

For the past year I have been doing low manipulation, hiding my hair, no trim, deep conditioning, Co washing, Ayuverda Regimen, long relaxer stretches. But today the 1st of June I looked in the mirror and I have lost my sexy. I stuck in bun hell. I need my sexy back. All my hard work has gotten me from chin to below shoulder and I want to see it. I want to my hair to blow in the wind displaying all my progress. Just because I taking good care of my hair does not mean I cannot enjoy it.

So today Im going to the Salon. I have had this conversation is my head so I can be prepared for the stylist.

_yes Im almost 20 weeks post relaxer.

_No I do not need a touch up

-No my hair will not fall off if I don't relax. I have managed to get it longer thicker and stronger thanks to not having a stylist touch it. See those over processed ends they are courtesy of a stylist. see the thick body i have now it courtesy of me.

_No do not rip thru my hair as if you lost your mind I will snatch you up

- Detangle my hair with the conditioner in it under luke warm water

- use my Jilbere shower comb nothing else.

- Keep your fine tooth comb in the draw do not use it on me

- No I do not want you use Your products in hair only mine

-Dry me under low heat

-blow out only my roots as I requested nothing else

-Follow my instructions and this will go smoothly and you will be generously tipped.

So ladies wish me luck. I will post pics.

are u a diy-er? id be really afraid of going to ANY stylist at 20 weeks post. If you can, please hang in there and do you hair at home.

Tell it girl! You're PAYING for a service and you should get exactly what you want and ask for. That's right put that foot down and if they start talking you're high maintenance give them a REALLY evil look... Well not too evil because you don't want them messing up your hair... It's so sad that we have to be wary about getting our hair done...

But agree with what someone said above... Can you at least wash/dc and rollerset or flat iron at home for yourself? It MAY be the safest bet.

this is why I started doing my own hair! I hope they do just as you wish! cant wait to see pics!

I love it. The no holds barred / dictator approach to professional hair stylists!!

I also say that if in the de-tangling process you are displeased or feel like she is raking through your hair, Do not be afraid to Ask if someone else will do it or tell her you'd like to do it yourself.

You may also want to consider telling her to wash it in sections or maybe even in 4 or 5 braids.

I hope you have a good experience and I hope you will pots pictures of the end result.

Good Luck and if the stylist start getting all funky about the ng and start yanking and pulling. You let her arse have it and if you have to get up and leave...so be it....

Ladies.. Im back.Yes I was bit scared have not had a stylist touch my hair in almost 6 months. I was greeted by the owner's husband greeted me asked my name & what service I would like. escorted me to my seat, even offered candy..Lol

I brought my CON green label, (at 20 weeks i knew I would need it), Alter ego Deep conditioner, HE LTR, Salerm 21 B5, silke element moisturizer and my trusty jilberer shower comb.

The wash lady scared me cause I know the amount of NG I have so I Shampoo by raking my fingers thru my hair going back... she had no clue decided to ruffle up my hair into a giant shampoo poof using large globs of Poo (less is more for me). I know I was going to have knots cause we all know CON gives slip but not this time for me. She rinsed and put on the DC & put me underthe dryer for 15 mins. when she started to rinse my hair I ran my fingers thru and saw I had tangles. I told her to wait and whip out my jilbere and tell her please stand back just run the luke warm water for me as I detangled. That was not working I knew HE LTR works, I took that out and squirt in her hand told her to put in my hair. The owner comes running she pushes the lady away from me took my Jilbere from me and detangled while she rinsed. My hair detangled like butter. She said "I see you know what you are doing Mami no hair came out." I smiled and told her I know my hair and next time if I come back please rake fingers thru when shampooing. She agreed.

She roller set me with ease no tangles using my trusty salerm, at first she squirt out her Sedal, I said NO she cleaned off her hand and used my Salerm. I think by then she knew I was not playing. Without me asking she did not use the fine tooth bomb, she used the medium teeth rat tail to roller set (I lost no hair).

When I was dry and ready to blow out my roots she quickly ran for the heat protectant. She asked me I said yes and even showed her I had my own (she smiled) Blew out my roots not the typical high Domican dryer heat. No pulling I baby my hair. I gave her my moisturizer. We were done. She did not tell me I needed to relax my large amount of NG. I thanked her for knowing what she was doing and tipped her 10 dollars. The service cost 17 dollars. Not bad huh?

Then I stepped outside and started to sweat ohhh well.

when I roller set I get curls the are usually soft. I dont like how i look in them.
