R.I.P. cornrows

my braids are looking quite rough in the kitchen area and I an thinking about taking them down even though It has been 2.5 weeks. They usually last me 3.5-4 weeks! I dunno if it's because of my stretch that it is looking this way or what. Plus, my braider will be out of town next week and I do not want to look like buckweet until she returns.. help!

I haven't had cornrows in about a year. I've been thinking about getting some put in but I would miss my CW so much.
