Right now I am wearing cornrows which I am keeping in for 2 weeks and then taking them out, washing/deep conditioning and braiding back up.

What else should I be doing to make my braids last longer and to take better care of them. How often should I be washing and how should I be washing/conditioning them.

Any help would be great

you need to wash them at least once a week, keeping them oiled along with your scalp. I would spray leave in in them every other day or so. also remember to ALWAYS sleep in a satin or silk scarf and avoid itching it.

Hey Raquel, someone who has cornrows for the first time just posted a thread asking for help and I wrote quite a bit on that thread regarding maintaining your cornrows. You may want to do a search for that thread or just "click" back a couple thread screens and you'll see it.
