Isn't the ideal the same with the sock bun. You know cut off the elastic end of a gym sock and do something similar?

I think this would be a lot easier then a sock bun some people still use scrunchies and pins with a sock bun, this is one easy step.

I have a version of that and I couldn't get it to work for me. Or course I didn't do it on straight hair so maybe next time I press it'll work.
