How long do you have to heat honey so that it won't lighten your hair? DC'ing this weekend. Sorry if there is a thread for this already, did a quick search and nothing came up. TIA

Hi! I heat my honey/EVOO mixture for 12 seconds in the microwave before adding my dc. I've been doing this for 2 years and my hair is still black (except for the grays!).
When I didn't heat the mixture, my hair slowly began to turn light brown. I couldn't figure out why until I researched it on LHCF.
