when you rinse your hair a particular color how do you do it- do you put in the color and then deep condition or do you deep condition and then put in the color?

well they say shampooing with a mild poo, deep con, then colour, then poo, then a quick con does the trick!

i shall be doing it a way i think tho...

step 1. 5 days b4, clarify and deep con etc
step 2. water rinse, apply colour...(reason being, my hair will have moisture in) - but this may not work if your using a light colour, the barrier may stop the colour from taking, but i'm goin 4 black so...
step 3. rinse out colour, shampoo
step 4. deep con

i also think my hair will be more conditioned with 5 days worth of moisture and the deep con from the 5 days will still be in my hair :)

I tried conditioning first, before my color rinse, and the color didn't take as well as it usually does. So now I clarify, color rinse, moist poo, moist cond, rinse, apply leavins and lots of oils, blowdry and style! I use colourshines which is a conditioner in itself, so i don't worry about having to overdo conditioning before or after....

You should clarify first so the color will take better. If not the color will just sit on top on your deep conditioned strands and it won't last long at all.

Then color after you clarify.

THEN deep condition.
